A New Price Point For Hand-built Wheels
Eugene, OR – Machine-built wheels are no match for the stability and long-term performance of a hand-built set of wheels. Until now, no one offered a high quality, hand-built, performance wheel system at a modest price. Rolf Prima announces two new wheel models in the aerodynamic and lightweight wheel categories. The new Tempo and Apex wheel systems from Rolf Prima are built with performance in mind and are designed for budget-minded cyclists who are not willing to trade-off the ride quality and long-term stability associated with hand-built wheels.
The Tempo is an aerodynamic category wheel system that weighs in at 1750 grams per set. A tall rim profile of 31mm with bladed spokes with internal nipples allow it to slice through the air for faster average speeds. A great training wheel offering the strength and stiffness of the Echelon at a price often associated with machine-built wheels
Category: Aerodynamic
Spoke count: 16 front / 20 rear
Weight: 1750 grams per set.
MSRP: $599 per set
The Apex is a Lightweight category wheel system with a lower rim profile and thinner gauge spokes to reduce rotational weight for better climbing performance and quicker accelerations. These wheels are light, fast and offer extraordinary value for riders looking for a lightweight training wheel.
Category: Lightweight
Spoke count: 20 front / 24 rear
Weight: 1600 grams per set.
MSRP: $599 per set
All Rolf Prima carbon wheel systems are engineered to advance lightweight aerodynamic performance and were developed for individuals with top-level performance in mind. Rolf Dietrich is the inventor of the paired-spoke bicycle wheel design. All Rolf Prima wheel systems are hand-built in Eugene, Oregon and are protected by numerous patents in the US and other countries with several non-exclusive license agreements in force.
