JT Fountain takes 2nd at Cyclo-cross Nationals
The 2012 USA Cyclocross National Championships opened this past Wednesday with more than 1,000 of the nation’s top cross racers in Badger Prairie Park, outside Madison, WI. Kicking off with the Singlespeed category, there was an early attack from Rolf Prima’s own J.T. Fountain and Aaron Bradford of Santa Cruz.
Fountain had approximately a three-second edge going into the final five laps of the race. Taking the lead in the final lap, Bradford took the win, while just seconds behind Fountain snagged a spot on the podium with a second place finish.
Look for additional strong results from more Rolf Prima racers as the week progresses. Elite men race on Sunday the 8th.
