Oh, the relief of a good race after a disappointing season. Everybody feels something like this at some point of his or her life, whether we’re talking work, school, or athletics. It’s the morning after I finished second at Challenge Penticton, and the elation of the result still hasn’t surpassed the basic relief I feel for finally having a good race in 2014. That may seem cynical or misplaced, and I’m sure the emotion will flip-flop soon, but what I’m feeling right now is more akin to the pitcher who’s finally found the strike zone again, who’s recorded a quality start for his team and given them a chance to win.  Read his full recap
