Lighter than most carbon clincher wheels and still remarkably aerodynamic, the Élan is the perfect choice for road courses that require hard braking, frequent accelerations, and difficult climbs.

Rims: The 23mm deep, single cavity, semi-aero rim profile and narrow spoke bed significantly decreases the weight of the Élan rim. Brake sidewalls are CNC-machined for smoothness and consistency.


Hubs: The Élan rims are laced to the TdF3.4 proprietary hub, designed and manufactured in the USA. The front hub has a unique 85mm wide flange placement which increases the lateral wheel stiffness by nearly 20%.  The rear hub features our Patented Differential Flange Diameter, which doubles the number of pulling spokes and creates a more durable wheel. Both hubs are fully CNC machined and feature oversized axles, increasing the wheel durability and stiffness without increasing the wheel weight.


Freehub: CNC machined Titanium freehub body has 3 independently sprung steel pawls for a bomb-proof torque transfer system.  This system is strong, simple and dependable.


Spoke & Nipple: The Élan wheel set features paired, 14/17 gauge custom butted profile spokes with wrench flats and internal alloy nipples with nylon inserts to create a quicker accelerating, faster climbing wheel with superior, long-term durability. Our patented, Self Aligning Nipple™ design significantly increases spoke fatigue life. Self-locking thread technology ensures wheels stay true longer.


Extras: Rolf Prima Elan wheel systems include custom reinforced rim tape and steel quick release skewers.
