Rims: 22mm deep, single cavity, semi-aero rim profile and a narrow spoke bed keeps the weight down while increasing the stiffness, impact strength and service life of the Élan RS rims. Brake sidewalls are CNC-machined for smoothness and consistency.

Hubs: Élan RS rims are laced to the TdF3.4 proprietary hub, designed and manufactured in the USA. The front hub has a unique 85mm wide flange placement which increases the lateral wheel stiffness by nearly 20%.  The rear hub features our Patented Differential Flange Diameter, which doubles the number of pulling spokes and creates a more durable wheel. Both hubs are fully CNC machined and feature oversized axles, increasing the wheel durability and stiffness without increasing the wheel weight.

Freehub: CNC machined Titanium freehub body has 3 independently sprung steel pawls for a bomb-proof torque transfer system. This system is strong, simple and dependable.

Spoke & Nipple: In keeping with our philosophy of using material only where it is needed, the Élan RS uses 14 / 17 gauge custom butted spokes on the front wheel and non-drive side of the rear wheel. The drive side spokes of the rear wheel are custom butted 14/15 gauge for added strength and stiffness. Internal alloy nipples with nylon inserts create a quicker accelerating, faster climbing wheel with superior, long-term durability. Our Patented, Self Aligning Nipple™ design increases spoke life. Self-locking thread technology ensures wheels stay true.

Extras: Rolf Prima Elan RS wheel systems include custom reinforced rim tape and steel quick release skewers.
