Through computer aided modeling, design iterations and countless hours of wind tunnel, lab and field testing, Rolf Prima has developed a rim shape which greatly improves aerodynamics, ride feel and overall handling. The ultimate in any design is efficiency. For wheels, design efficiency manifests in saved weight and power savings which leads to increased rider speed. The Delta Rim Technology is a shaped profile that improves tire fit, creating a more aerodynamic interface with the tire as well as better tire support. Our wider tire bed fits tightly to the tire sidewalls smoothing airflow and better supporting the tire sidewalls. This improves turning precision, ride comfort and overall handling. A wide tire bed provides the base for Delta’s shaped sidewalls which are designed to continue smooth air flow along the rim and improve wheel stability in cross winds. Delta Rim Technology is found on the Rolf Prima TdF6, TdF6SL, TdF4SL, Vigor α, Vigor, Vigor RS, Elan α, and Elan models. |

For run-of-the-mill wheels this can work, but to build a truly light wheel with uniform tensions, you just can't match the skill of human hands. Every Rolf Prima wheel is carefully hand-built using a painstaking build process that enables our wheels to run true longer - without the need for constant attention or a "break-in period."

With all of these technologies combined, Rolf Prima builds wheels with qualities once considered mutually exclusive: paired spokes, fewer spokes, lighter rims, higher spoke tensions, and great stiffness.
