How It Works

Because getting back on your Rolf Prima wheels is important to us, we set the goal to have a quick turn around time on all service. We make every effort to ship your wheel within 3-5 business days of receiving it and possibly even shorter. If we can’t, we’ll call you to tell you why.

How to do it:

  1. Identify the service you think you need
  2. Download and fill out the Wheel Service Form - Locating the wheel serial number
  3. Contact your local Rolf Prima dealer. The shop where you bought the wheels is the best first step. Talk to them about the service you’d like and give them your wheel and Wheel Service Form. (If you have questions about what you need, you can call Rolf Prima directly). You’re done and the rest is up to your shop and us.
  4. If your favorite shop can’t help you, send us an email (info@rolfprima.com) or give us a call (888-308-7700) to set up a Return Authorization.
  5. After a Return Authorization number (RA#) is set up by Rolf Prima, ship the wheel back to Rolf Prima. Do not ship a wheel without an RA number. Pack the wheel(s) well, but please do not use "peanuts".
  6. Rolf Prima receives your wheel, performs the service requested and will make every effort to ship back to you within-48 hrs.
  7. Enjoy!

Complete wheel service: The full meal deal; our service tech’s inspect your wheel for wear, damage and anything that may affect the performance of the wheel. Replace bearings, true and tension.

  • Brake track cleaned and inspected for wear and fatigue
  • Rim and spoke bed cleaned and inspected for wear or fatigue
  • Hub shell cleaned and inspected for wear or fatigue
  • Full hub service - Includes everything from full hub service package
  • Bearing adjustment
  • Wheel true and tension specifications inspected and adjusted as needed

Full hub service: It’s a good idea to service your hubs each season. Get them ready for the race season with new bearings and a full inspection from the factory.

  • Inspect all hub parts including adjustment collar, free hub pawls and springs
  • Replace bearings
  • Rear wheel only - free hub is cleaned, lubed and adjusted as needed
  • Replace pawl springs (as applicable)

Free hub conversion: Transferring your wheels to a new bike and its Campagnolo, but your wheelset is Shimano? Upgrading your drive train to 11-speed? No problem. Almost Rolf Prima wheels can be converted to be 11-speed compatible and all Rolf Prima wheels can be converted between Shimano and Campagnolo. Original free hub and parts are returned with your wheel.

  • Removal of old parts and installation of new freehub body and axle parts if needed (depends on wheel model year)
  • Re-dish wheel
  • Full true and tension

Wheel Rebuild: Rebuild your tired or crashed wheel with a new rim, spokes, nipples and decals. No need to trash your whole wheel if the hub is still in good shape.

Worn bearings slowing you down? Get a full new set of bearings or upgrade to ceramic for that added edge. Rear hubs are also cleaned and lubed during the bearing install.

Spoke Replacement: Catch a pedal? - get it replaced by the factory. At the same time our service tech’s will perform a complete tensioning and truing on your wheel.

Tension and truing: Rolf Prima wheels are known for not needing truing, however if you hit something and your wheel needs a little work we can help.

  • De-tension and re-tension all spokes

** The services and the prices listed above are available to our North American riders only. Special arrangements for riders outside North America can be made, but the prices will vary depending on market prices,  shipping and handling. For best results, please consult our “distributors” page prior, as many are able to provide similar services within their market. If no distributor is available where you ride, feel free to email us at info@rolfprima.com and we will help you make arrangements.

Repair Warranty: 
Rolf Prima warrants repair work to be free from defects in material or workmanship for the period of 1 year. Repair Warranty applies only to parts installed as part of repair and does not cover original or existing parts or original labor. Claims for warranty must be accompanied by repair invoice/ receipt and original Wheel Service Form.

Waiver:
Due to the fact that Rolf Prima cannot know what the history or use of the wheel is at the time of service, Rolf Prima will do it's best to detect damage or wear in the components of the wheel. By sending the Wheel Service Form, signed or un-signed, I understand that some damage may not be detected by Rolf Prima and consequently the wheel could contain undetected damage. I hereby waive all claims against Rolf Prima for failure to detect damage to serviced wheel(s).
